After playing Dandelion: wishes brought to you Demo (PC) i really got a taste for otome games! (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*) Otome game are shortly said ”Dating sim game” for girls, you follow a story where you stumble across cute bishounen* guys (*pretty boys with specific personalities) and make interaction choices which affect what kind of situation and ending you’ll get. ♥ Will you get the guy?
In Sweet Scandal (Android) you are a professional journalist! Your mission is to write a best-selling article and your boss makes you choose between interviewing a popular writer (Amasawa), a pro tennis player (Misato) or a big time photographer (Horai) as topic, and once you made your pick, the adventure start! (~‾⌣‾)~
I choose Misato (tennis player) because he seem to be the main attraction, like the face of the game, but you can pick anyone you want! All of their stories will start out similar, the celebrity are surrounded by paparazzi & magazines and you need to be noticed! Once you got his attention, it’s time to make the article, but because of his busy schedule, you will keep meeting him for follow-up interviews all the time, slowly getting to know each other and falling into silly situations and eventually ♥
But of course it depends if you successfully get him attractive to you (points) and which lines you choose to say during the story. It can end up like nothing but a simple story if you don’t work hard!
You play mini games beside the main story to develop your character. You collect points to exchange for accessories to become more attractive (high attraction = unlock special romantic scenarios).
Oh (´⌣`ʃƪ) it’s really exciting!
”And how can the world want me to change?
They’re the ones that stay the same.
They can’t see me,
but I’m still here.”
My brother (NoyArt) has been eating a lot of books lately and wanted to share them with me. 😀 He told me about the plots, so I’ve not been searching the internet, just written what he told me. In my own opinion, they all sound very interesting and you should really take a look at these. HERE WE GO!
I am Legend by Richard Matheson
Yes, the same title as the movie but this is the original story written 1954!
The story follows the last man on earth, named Robert Neville. Everybody else has transformed to very bloodhungry vampires~ Neville must fight for survival and search for food as he walks through the ruins of the before-living civilization. He finds a dog which becomes his friend and he wonder how long he will survive living like this. ＼( ｀∀´)／ Very cool!
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
A very modern story even though it’s written 1966 (and then later changed 1994).
It’s more like HOW the book is told, not how the actually plot is ABOUT. Uhm, hard to explain. Anyway, meet Charlie Gordon. He is pretty stupid with only 68 in IQ, he’s a bullied floor sweeper. Then he volunteer as first human test-object on an intelligence experiment, making he go more and more smart. But the very first object, a mouse, the IQ is rising but then slooowly fading away and in the end -> disappears. The story is told from Gordons perspective. Start off as a stupid man who can’t even spell (can be annoying to read at first) to an almost over-intelligent person in the middle of the book and then the words start getting dumber again. Read it!
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick
Cute story from 1968.. （＞ｙ＜）★
Welcome to the future! Androids (human-like robots) are our slaves. But some run away for freedom and it’s Rick Deckards job to catch them. He’s about to retire (finally) and can then buy the ultimate status symbol – a living animal. He always wanted a living sheep (better than this electric sheep he got, it breaks all the time!) but to get it he must capture six Nexus-6 robots first, which isn’t that easy.
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
The writer behind No Country for Old Men (I loved that movie!) this story came 2006, so it’s kinda new!
The book is very easy written, like a diary from someone in a hurry. It takes place after an unexplained war, killing most of the living on earth. The ”survivors” are crazy cannibals and the main characters are an unnamed father and his son. Like in I am Legend it’s about survival and we kinda follow them through their days (´▽｀) exciting huh?
The Penultimate Truth by Philip K. Dick
Another book by Mr. Philip K. Dick (/^▽^)/ This one from 1988!
”Everybody, let’s go under ground!” Yes, seriously, the world is preparing for war and EVERYBODY is sent underground. Down there’s a city for everyone to take cover and live their lives as usual. Oh, and build fighting robots which is sent straight to the surface to fight for us in the war. But one day, the President want to check how’s everything going on the surface and climbs up, only to find out – there’s no war! All the rich bastards just tricked everyone so they could have the world for themselves! And the robots aren’t even used for fighting, they are used for building more mansions for the rich guys. How rude! ヽ(ｏ`皿′ｏ)ﾉ The President don’t know if he should stay on the surface and live life as a king or tell the truth, causing a real war to break out. What what what will he dooo?
The Dice Man by Luke Rhinehart
A classic from 1971! If you haven’t at least heard of it, you’ve been living under a rock all your life yo
Ok, actually the authors’ name is George Cockcroft. But to make this journal-book more diary, the authors name is same as the main characters’ name. Anyway, Luke is a psychiatrist. A very bored psychiatrist. He want to make action in his life so he decide to start a experiment were he absolute need to follow a couple of dice. For example if the dice say 1, 2 or 3 it’s ”Ignore the neighbor” but if the dice say 4, 5 or 6 it’s ”Make sweet-sweet love to the neighbor” and a lot of consequences appears. Very cool! And strange! And disturbing (￣д￣;) …nothing for children.
That was all, thanks for reading!
